Church of the Intercession Rector, Rev. Maud Paraison (right) was the first Haitian woman ever ordained by the Episcopal/Anglican Church. She was formerly assigned to Holy Sacrament Parish in Hollywood and St. Paul et les Martyrs Haitien Parish in Miami. Pere Maud, as she’s known by her friends and parishioners, has also done missionary work in Belle Glade, Florida.
Pere Maud is descended from several generations of priests in her native Haiti.
